Safe Boating Education
United States Power Squadrons

Columbus Sail & Power Squadron
This is central Ohio’s local squadron of the US Power Squadron. An active group with many advanced boating education opportunities and social events.
Ohio Division of Watercraft
This is the official state safe boating agency. Get information on boating laws, safety equipment requirements, boat launch areas, and much, much, more. Site features a statewide searchable database of boating courses.
National Assoc. of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA)
The site features links to the official boating agencies of all fifty states. This is an excellent resource for the traveling sailor. Obtain boating laws and boating area information for your destination.
Take an on-line basic boating safety course. Courses meet mandatory boating safety education requirements in many states, including Ohio.
National Safe Boating Council
The NSBC is dedicated to enhance the safety of the recreational boating experience through education and outreach. The site features many resources and links.
