| Small Boat Sailing – 12-hour Sailing Course
This 12-hour, 2-day weekend course begins with
several hours of shore based instruction. On-water sessions start
with instructor demonstrations before students sail tandem (with
a classmate) on a 14-foot Sunfish sailboat. Step-by-step coaching
from our certified instructors will have you sailing the Sunfish
solo before the end of the course. Students will also sail with
an instructor on a larger sloop rigged sailboat. Not just along
for the ride, students will be steering this bigger, faster boat
and handling its two sails.
Course Location: All Small Boat Sailing course sessions are conducted at Hoover Reservoir.
Course Dates and Times: Course dates are listed in the table below. Course times are 10:00 am - 5:00 pm each day.
Course Fee: The $130 course fee includes all sailboats, safety equipment, textbook, and course materials.

or windsurfing instruction. Mail a check or money order in
the amount of $130 to purchase a certificate that can be
used to enroll in any Small Boat Sailing or Windsurfing course.
When purchasing a gift certificate as a surprise gift, the
certificate and a course schedule will be sent directly to
you. The recipient of your gift may select any course date
and register by completing the included registration form
and sending it along with the gift certificate.
